RECORD GCSE RESULTS FOR CHSBhard-work-paid-off.gif

5+ A* - C 70% (CHSB SCHOOL RECORD)
5+ A* - C inc. Eng & Maths 50% (2nd highest score ever for CHSB)
5+ A* - G 94% (CHSB SCHOOL RECORD)

Gavin Salvesen-Sawh (Headteacher CHSB) said, "I am absolutely delighted and thrilled for the boys, who have worked so hard this year. My staff also deserve recognition for their incredible dedication and determination to ensure the success of the school. I would also like to thank parents, who have supported us so well during the year.

Congratulations to the whole CHSB school community.

The school is significantly up on all of its performance benchmarks, which allied to our most encouraging OfSTED Inspection recently, gives us great optimism for our results next year.

Of our 70% 5+ A*-C results, 60% of these achieved 8 good GCSE passes at A*-C.

A fifth of our students achieved A*s. Our results may increase in due course, as we are still awaiting clarification on some results.

Special mention is due to the following boys, who achieved an incredible and amazing number of A* and A's : best-wishes.gif

Tim Westwood 11 A*/As
Jack Williamson 11 A*/As

This is a reminder to all staff that the school site will be CLOSED on Friday 27th August. This is due to electrical safety testing being carried out which will require the switching off of all power to the school site. There will be no access to any building on site throughout the day.

In preparation for this, ICT systems will be unavailable from 14.45 on Thursday 26th to allow ICT Support time to shutdown the system in readiness for the power outage.

BAFTA YOUNG GAME DESIGNER
by H Gonzalez - Tuesday, 20 July 2010, 02:11 PM

BAFTA has launched a new competition for young people aged 11-16 to submit a design for a new video game. The deadline for the competition is Monday 18th October so there is plenty of time for you to organise a group of people interested in being the new game designers of the future. This is a great opportunity to show your creativity and understanding of the different roles within the video games design.

The winning team will be announced at the EA British Academy children's Awards in November.
